Product Data
Whether it's products in the FMCG sector, mechanical engineering, DIY/hardware store items, food, or any other industry, all products must be comprehensively described for trade. This also applies if they are to be sold through brick-and-mortar retail.
Product information typically comes from many parts of the company. For example, logistics contribute a lot of basic data, legal requirements must be observed, such as in the pharmaceutical sector or in the food segment.LMiV).
Departments
Many professionals generate data that then needs to be channelled into various streams. Usually this includes trading partners, but also agencies and other service providers.
Data quality
In our digital world, quality, availability, and timeliness are of paramount importance. Furthermore, only when data is correct (quality), readily available (availability), and up-to-date (timeliness) at the point of sale can it be processed quickly and efficiently. It can then do what it's intended to do – sell.
Product Information Management (PIM)
This is where the PIM system comes into play. Our PIM solution, combined with our DAM system allows for a central storage of all product-describing data and visual media.
This data can be extracted automatically or semi-automatically from diverse sources via API and importers. This allows us to consolidate all data from different sources and bring it together in a central system.
Lifecycle Management
Furthermore, product data will also be controlled by time periods. This means they will have a time-based validity, up to archiving upon the occurrence of a specific date.
